If you’re looking for an alternative to the default Windows image viewer, then I recommend you to try NexusImage application offered for free by Noh JungHoon. This is a very easy to use application that will present all your images in an elegant interface.

As mentioned above, NexusImage is portable. You do not have to go through an installation process to start using the application, you need only download an archive, extract its contents, and run the NexusImage executable. You can use the application on any Windows edition from Windows XP onward.

The NexusImage interface is composed of two elements: a main window that presents your images in all their glory, and a bar to the right that presents thumbnail views of your images. While NexusImage is running, it dims the background so that you can focus on your images. You can adjust the dim level from the View menu; and you can access the View menu from the context menu that shows up when you right click on NexusImage interface.

There are three ways to open an image with NexusImage: by double clicking on the application’s interface, by using the Ctrl+O keyboard shortcut, or by using the Open function from the right click context menu. Once you open an image, it is displayed on NexusImage’s main window. All the other images in the source folder will be displayed as thumbnails on the bar to the right.

You will not have to part with your hard earned money to use NexusImage. As mentioned at the start of this article, NexusImage is free. You could part with your money though if you enjoy using the application. Cons:
None that I could think of.

Pros

NexusImage is portable; you do not have to install it. The application features an elegant, easy to use interface. Use NexusImage for free to view your images. There are numerous keyboard shortcuts to use (press F1 to view a list).

Cons

ider making a donation to support the application’s development. View your images in an elegant interface with the free NexusImage application.
